Trace & Alessandra - Wedding - Wausau, WI Photographer

There are some wedding days that feel as joyful and effortless as they look ... and Trace and Alessandra’s beautiful summer wedding at Monk Botanical Gardens in Wausau was certainly one of them!

Surrounded by lush greenery, colorful flowers, and the people they love most, Trace and Alessandra exchanged vows in one of the most picturesque outdoor settings in Central Wisconsin. Monk Botanical Gardens provided such a naturally romantic backdrop for their celebration, from the charming brick garden wall behind their ceremony to the winding paths and gorgeous white hydrangeas we discovered during their portraits.

Alessandra looked absolutely beautiful in her elegant wedding gown, carrying a bouquet filled with soft pink blooms. Her delicate floral hairpiece and lace dress details complemented the garden setting perfectly. Trace looked equally handsome in a light blue suit with a pale pink tie ... a fresh, summery combination that tied everything together beautifully.

One of our favorite moments came when Alessandra made her way down the garden path toward the ceremony. The happiness on her face ... and Trace’s expression as he saw his bride ... said everything. Their ceremony was intimate, heartfelt, and filled with so many genuine smiles. After sharing their vows and rings, they sealed it all with a kiss ... and then treated everyone to a picture-perfect dip as they made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife!

Once the ceremony was over, we explored the gardens with the newlyweds. Monk Botanical Gardens gave us an incredible variety of locations without ever having to leave the grounds. We photographed Trace and Alessandra among the bright white hydrangeas, alongside colorful flower beds, beneath the trees, and on the garden’s peaceful walking paths.

Although the grounds were stunning, it was the way these two looked at one another that made their portraits so special. Whether they were laughing, sharing a quiet kiss, or simply walking hand in hand, Trace and Alessandra were completely at ease together. Their happiness was genuine and wonderfully easy to photograph.

We also made time for portraits with their families, capturing the people who helped make this day so meaningful. Those photographs will only become more valuable as the years go by, and we are always honored to preserve them for our couples.

Of course, Trace and Alessandra made sure their celebration included plenty of fun! Their reception was filled with laughter, visiting, and dancing. From their sweet first dance to an impressive twirl that showed off Alessandra’s beautiful gown, these two kept smiling and enjoying every moment together.
