Journie - 2027 Senior - Sparta, WI Photographer

Journie made the drive all the way from Sparta to Stevens Point for her senior mini session with us!

Even though it was a mini session, Journie knew exactly what she wanted: two outfits, two completely different locations, and lots of variety. Challenge accepted!

We started at one of our favorite little hidden spots along the river. With the rocks, rushing water, greenery, and the little waterfall tucked into the background, it gave us the perfect setting for her first outfit. Journie wore jeans with a beautiful blue top, which looked amazing against all of the greens and earthy tones around the water.

And of course, we had to bring in a little something extra. The colorful floral frame against the waterfall made such a fun statement and gave her gallery something completely different!

But there was one thing Journie really wanted for her senior pictures…

A field of flowers.

Now, when someone drives all the way from Sparta to Stevens Point for their senior session, you can't exactly send them home without the flower pictures they were hoping for!

So we went looking.

And we found exactly what we needed.

A huge field filled with gorgeous golden flowers was in bloom, and paired with Journie’s white dress, it couldn't have been more perfect. The warm evening light, the sea of yellow flowers, and that white dress completely changed the feel of her session. We went from the cool, wooded waterfall setting to something bright, warm, and almost dreamy.

Those ended up being some of our favorite images from the entire session!

That's one of the things we love about senior photography. Your session doesn't have to look just one way. Even a mini session can include completely different looks when we plan it well. Journie went from sitting barefoot beside rushing water to being surrounded by flowers ... and both settings felt completely her.
