LaDanian - 2027 Senior - Tomah, WI Photographer

Some senior sessions begin with a location.

Others begin with an idea.

LaDanian's started with a vision.

When he told us he wanted an image of himself lying on the basketball court throwing a basketball above him and colored smoke filling the gym, we immediately knew this was going to be a fun one. We love it when seniors come with creative ideas that reflect who they are, and this shot became the perfect way to kick off our 2027 senior sessions.

We spent time around the gym creating a variety of portraits that showed different sides of LaDanian. Some were serious and focused, capturing the determination athletes know so well. Others showed the smile that came naturally every time we joked around between shots. Whether he was sitting on the bleachers, leaning against the gym wall, or holding his basketball close, every image felt authentic to who he is.

After finishing at the gym, we headed into downtown Tomah.

One of our favorite parts of senior sessions is mixing locations and giving seniors a gallery with lots of variety. The industrial textures downtown gave us a completely different look from the basketball court. Sitting on the old concrete steps, LaDanian looked relaxed and confident, and those simple portraits are some of our favorites because they let his personality shine without needing anything elaborate.

As the evening continued, we chased the sunset.

Golden hour never disappoints, and the warm light filtering through the trees created the perfect ending to the session.

One session.

Three completely different looks.
