Alexis, Part 1 - 2027 Senior - Tomah, WI Photographer

There are some senior sessions that feel like they were made for summer, and Alexis’ first session was absolutely one of them.

When we started planning, Alexis had a few things on her wish list: flowers, water, a little bit of downtown, and a photo with Mom and Dad. So we took that list and turned it into an evening that gave her a little bit of everything!

We started with a touch of downtown, where the brick and deeper colors gave us the perfect backdrop for her gorgeous teal dress. Alexis absolutely rocked it, and that dress against the warm brick was perfection.

Then it was time for flowers! The fields were glowing, the yellow flowers were everywhere, and Alexis brought the perfect outfits for them. Between her bright pink top, the soft yellow dress, and that incredible floral frame, these images have such a fun, colorful summer feel. We were blessed with beautiful light, and Alexis made every single setup look effortless.

And because she wanted water, we finished another portion of the evening along the river. The combination of the rocks, rushing water, trees and her blue-and-white outfit gave us an entirely different look again. I love senior sessions that allow us to move from polished and colorful to something a little more natural and adventurous. Yes, that meant getting into the water ... and it was completely worth it!

I was happy Alexis wanted Mom and Dad included for a few photographs. Senior year is a huge milestone for the senior, but it’s a pretty big milestone for the parents too. One minute they’re little, and somehow the next you’re standing beside them for their senior pictures. Those are the photographs that become more meaningful with every passing year.

And, of course, we had to sneak in a little personality along the way. A stop at Taco Bell made for some fun images that feel completely different from the traditional senior portraits ... exactly the kind of thing that makes a senior gallery personal instead of looking like everyone else’s.

The best part?

This is only PART ONE. Can't wait to see what Alexis comes up with for her second session!
