Peyton’s senior session marked a special milestone for his family ... and for me! After photographing both of his older sisters’ senior portraits, it was finally his turn in front of my camera. As the last senior in the family, Peyton brought this chapter full circle. It’s such a privilege when a family returns over the years and trusts me to capture these moments for each of their children.
For his session, this Black River Falls senior wanted a little bit of downtown and a little bit of country. I loved that combination! Mixing the two gave his gallery plenty of variety while keeping the session true to what he wanted.
The downtown portion brought an urban feel to his portraits, and the country settings gave us a change of pace with a more relaxed, outdoorsy atmosphere. Senior photos don’t have to stick to just one style or setting. Sometimes a mix is the perfect way to create a collection that feels like you.
Having already photographed his sisters made Peyton’s session especially meaningful. Each sibling deserves their own moment and a session that reflects their preferences, but there’s something special about being part of the whole family’s senior portrait story. Photographing the final sibling is a happy milestone, with a little bittersweet feeling mixed in!
